DESCRIPTION:The MedWaves, the UNEP/MAP Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption\nand Production will organise an International Workshop entitled “Boosting a Just\nTransition in the Mediterranean: From Research to Action”.\nThis event provides a space to discuss the prospects and challenges of a Just Transition\nto a Circular Economy, including perspectives on key issues such as gender, labor and\nglobal value chains, the technical geopolitical and social factors that drive the\ntransformation and its relevancy to international policy agendas. The event will draw\nupon forefront insights derived from “JUST2CE: A Just Transition to the Circular\nEconomy” program, an ambitious research and innovation partnership funded through\nthe Horizon 2020 scheme uniting 14 partner institutions encompassing the scholar,\npractitioner and policy-making expert communities of 10 target countries belonging to\nEuropean and African Regions. The cross-geographical approach offers the consortia\nwith a distinctive opportunity to cultivate diverse perspectives on complex challenges,\nwhich carry global-scale implications.\n \nWorkshop-Agenda\n
