The JUST2CE project is taking part the European Development Days (#EDD22) during which it will be presented through a side event.

Building more resilient connections with a prosperous and sustainable world, a key ambition of the EU’s Global Gateway, requires understanding and recognizing the importance of a just transition to Circular Economy and exploring paths to transboundary civic participation and participatory governance. 

The selected side event of the JUST2CE project will explore the concept of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and its importance for achieving a just transition to circular economy worldwide, building on its recently published Multidimensional Framework for Research and Action. The Framework contributes to inform the analysis academics, civil society representative and policy-makers do of circular economy practices, understanding which of them brings about benefits at social, environmental and economy level.

JUST2CE aspires at creating an inter-disciplinary community of scholars coming from diverse background and focused on researching how a just and responsible transition to CE is achievable. The results of this analysis will be used to develop a decision support system and macroeconomics analytical tools to design new or improve existing Circular Economy practices.
