In September 2021, the 13 partners of JUST2CE kicked off the 36-month project, thrilled to roll out 2 days of face-to-face and online exchanges on Circular Economy and Research.
The new H2020 project, led by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, includes the design of a decision-making support system and is coordinated in collaboration with the University of Vigo and implemented by a total of 14 partners from 9 countries.
The conviction underpinning our project is that the success of a transition towards a sustainable circular economy does not merely depend on the development of new technologies – artefacts or processes – but also in the reconfiguration of the governance of productive processes into more democratic and participatory mechanisms of designing and managing technology.
In September, the kick off meeting brought together 50 participants from 14 African and European institutions to consolidate efforts for a just transition towards a circular economy.
You can meet the consortium of partners in our “About us” section and read more about the project mission and vision for the next months.
The project places great importance on the sharing of knowledge, the dissemination of results and awareness of the thematic areas dealt with, to do so, JUST2CE will provide a sustained online presence, in particular through social networks and this website.
You can follow the progress and news from the project on Twitter and Facebook.
The JUST2CE project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101003491
